A pioneering hybrid event that unites college students across India to celebrate innovation and sustainability through Sustainable Development Goals
Established on January 23, 2024, the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) Tamil Nadu Section serves as a vibrant hub for mechanical engineering professionals and students across the state.
Our mission is to create engaging pathways for professional members and graduate students, expand the ASME professional community, and facilitate the development, dissemination, and application of cutting-edge engineering knowledge.
The ASME Student Section at Sri Ramakrishna Institute of Technology was established in 2022 and has quickly become a hub of engineering enthusiasm and innovation on campus.
In the ASME Competition leaderboard for 2022-2023, Sri Ramakrishna Institute of Technology secured the First position overall, demonstrating our commitment to excellence and innovation.
The ASME TN-NOVATE: SDG Innovation Expo 2025 empowers students to develop creative solutions to pressing global issues through Sustainable Development Goals, fostering widespread engagement and exposure to diverse ideas nationally.

The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), also known as the Global Goals, were adopted by all United Nations Member States in 2015 as a universal call to action to end poverty, protect the planet, and ensure that all people enjoy peace and prosperity by 2030. The 17 SDGs are integrated—they recognize that action in one area will affect outcomes in others, and that development must balance social, economic, and environmental sustainability.

Open to engineering students from recognized institutions. Cross-institution teams allowed. No diploma students.
Must address SDGs, be original work, demonstrate innovation and technical feasibility.
10-minute presentation + 5-minute Q&A session with judges.
